I.T. that
doesn't suck.

Missoula-based IT consulting.
Full‑stack expertise for small businesses.

Sound familiar?

Nobody knows your setup.

Each call goes to whoever is free, and every new tech starts from scratch. Nobody owns the big picture, so the same small problems keep coming back.

IT landed on you.

Somebody had to handle the Wi‑Fi, the printer, new laptops, password resets, and it landed on you. It mostly works, but it eats time meant for your real work.

No one in your corner.

Software subscriptions and security tools all get pitched as essential, and every vendor says to buy more. Nobody is responsible for getting it right.

A different approach

The same person every time.

The person you talk to is the one who knows your network and set up your backups, so your questions land with someone who already understands them. No "let me escalate that."

Remote by design.

Remote management only works when systems are built well, so that's the standard everything is held to. Your setup stays consistent and current. When something is better handled in person, I'll be there.

Help with the big calls.

With 25 years in IT, from the wiring to the cloud, I've seen most decisions play out before. You get advice that accounts for the whole picture, and someone in your corner through the work.

Two ways to work together

Managed IT

You don't have an IT person.

I take on your IT. One monthly price covers your support and the systems you already run, so asking for help never costs extra. Just reliable IT that works.

Co-Managed IT

You have IT help for the day to day.

I work with your existing IT help on an ongoing basis, handling security, identity, cloud services, device management, and the bigger changes. They stay close to your people, and I cover the depth.

About Artichoke
Peet McKinney
Peet McKinney
Owner, Artichoke Consulting · Missoula

I’ve run Artichoke Consulting since 2002. I started as the Mac guy, and making Macs work in business meant learning more about Microsoft than I ever planned to. For 25 years I’ve heard “Macs can’t do that,” said “hold my beer,” and gotten it done right, so my clients’ Macs get the same sign-in, file access, management, and security as any other device.

Most small businesses already pay for more than they use. I’d rather help you get the most out of the Microsoft 365 and Apple tools you have than add another subscription. What I set up keeps running, so you can get on with your work. If that work stalls because two systems don’t share information, I build the secure link between them.

Many of my clients answer to regulators: banks, clinics, law firms, and nonprofits. As their IT, I go through FDIC exams and HIPAA reviews with them and help design and implement the right controls. The security I build for a bank shapes what I do for every client.
